What is a Registration Certificate?

A Registration Certificate(RC) is a document that verifies that your vehicle is registered with the Regional Transport Office(RTO) in Arunachal Pradesh. Moreover, the certificate also comes with the vehicle's details, such as name, model, year of manufacture, registration number, and so on.

The document also signifies your compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, which makes it mandatory for every vehicle driven in India to be registered with an RTO.

Importance of Checking RC Status

If you are a vehicle owner or planning to invest in a vehicle, check the RC status, as it is important. The importance of checking RC status does not end in Arunachal Pradesh but it covers the whole of India.

  • The validity of an RC is 15 years, so check to see how long it has been. And if the end of the validity is near, ensure that you renew it.

  • You can avoid getting scammed by checking the RC status when you buy a second-hand car. Check the information provided to you and compare it with the RC to see if the seller is the right owner.
